 Mission Statement

To relentlessly seek out, experience and enjoy the finest brewed beverages from around the globe.  While, at the same time, fueling the renaissance of experimental brewing.

Since its inception, the Society has believed in encouraging beer drinkers to expand their horizons. One way of accomplishing this goal is issuing our annual Guide. As in the past, this year’s Guide presents a balanced overview of domestic and imported styles of mass-marketed and microbrews. This year’s edition of the Guide features a new section on beer web sites and revisions to all sections.

Two points of disclosure: a) no current member of the Society is an employee or has ownership in a brewing company or pub (however, we are available to discuss a consulting arrangement); and b) viewpoints expressed are solely the opinions of the membership.

It is our hope this Guide will only become more informative over time. We welcome your submissions and your thoughts. Please direct your comments to the Society’s Policy Committee.
